Thunderstorms will gradually develop across Central Indiana through the rest of the afternoon. Initially the greatest threat for severe weather will be over far western parts of Central Indiana associated with thunderstorms moving out of Central Illinois. This area is already in a Tornado Watch. Additional thunderstorms are expected to develop north of warm front across southern portions of Central Indiana/south of the Indy Metro Area after 5 pm. Large hail to 2 inches in diameter, wind gusts from 60-70 mph and isolated tornadoes will be possible with the strongest storms. In addition, localized flooding will be possible especially in poor drainage areas. #inwx |
