The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a
* Flood Warning for...
Harrison County in south central Indiana...
Crawford County in south central Indiana...
Southern Orange County in south central Indiana...
Northwestern Meade County in central Kentucky...
* Until noon EST Friday
* At 259 AM EST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain that will cause
flooding. Between 1/2 and 1 inch has already fallen.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Corydon, Brandenburg, English, Carefree Town, Palmyra, Marengo,
Milltown, Lanesville, Leavenworth and Elizabeth.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to locally 2 inches are possible in
the warned area. The ground is extremely saturated due to recent
heavy rainfall and this additional rainfall will cause further
flooding problems.

Information:
Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...HEAVY RAINFALL EXPECTED THROUGH SATURDAY NIGHT IN SOUTHERN
INDIANA AND PORTIONS OF CENTRAL KENTUCKY...
.A slow moving frontal boundary will remain in the region for the
remainder of the week. Multiple weather disturbances will move
northeastward along the boundary and bring repeated bouts of
moderate to heavy rainfall. 2 to 4 inches of additional rainfall,
with locally higher amounts, is expected across the watch area.
...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH SUNDAY MORNING...
The Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of southern Indiana and central Kentucky
* Through Sunday morning
* Rounds of moderate to heavy rainfall are expected across the
watch area tonight through Sunday morning. Thunderstorms will
bring particularly high rainfall rates Saturday and Saturday
night. An additional 2 to 4 inches of rainfall is expected
through Sunday morning which will result in excessive runoff and
flooding.
* This rainfall combined with already saturated soils will lead to
excessive runoff which will cause already swollen rivers to rise
more. Significant and continued rises on the Ohio, Rolling Fork,
Kentucky, Rough, and Green rivers, as well as other area
streams, are expected through the weekend. In southern Indiana,
the Blue River and Muscatatuck River may see significant rises.

living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take
action should flooding develop or worsen.
